The second day of TrafficInfraTech Expo was the day of trade, transactions, business enquiries & leads. The niche representatives from public & private companies and government officials came to the show with specific requirements for which they were able to find correct solutions. Likewise, the exhibitors were able to tap strong business opportunities and close deals by the end of the day at the show.

Kavinder Jindal, Head Infrastructure at KazStroy Service Infrastructure India found many new products and systems relevant for his projects and has already placed enquires with the specific vendors he met at the show. Another visitor at the show A.V Ranganath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Hyderabad City was impressed by the range advanced traffic management systems available and is keen to adopt the same in his city. “The high technology electronic signage andITS are some of the systems for which I have found the relevant vendors here. In all a very productive visit.” he said.

Rajesh Bhavsar, CEO, Vitaran Electronics Pvt. Ltd was particularly appreciative of the business visitors coming to his stall with specific needs and asking for the definite solutions. “I have had some very detailed enquiries for my products which I am sure will get converted to business by end of the show.” he added. Aseem Kumar, Head Sales & Marketing, Faac India Pvt. Ltd said, “For the first time, in the exhibition itself, we have booked a huge order. One of the factors that helped clinch us this deal was the fact that we were aware of the exact profile of the business visitors expected at the show and thus highlighted only those relevant products from our product portfolio.”

Many of the international companies who visited India for the first time found at TrafficInfraTech show the immense business potential the country had to offer. TuomoKarjalainen, Marketing Manager, NoptelOy – the Finland based company said, “We have met at the show some parking management companies with whom we are now in talk with partnership to expand our business in India.” A similar sentiment was expressed by Will Zong from Roseek, a Shanghai based company, who met some potential system integrators for business collaboration to expand the Company footprint in India.”

Indeed, the second day of the show witnessed hectic business activity with the presence of not only some of the prominent Indian & International players of the traffic management industry but also the high profile visitors from important government bodies such as the Delhi, Haryana, Bangalore and Hyderabad traffic police, Delhi and Maharashtra PWD, Metro rail, Infrastructure companies and turnkey consultants.

Day 2 Seminars

The first session of the day focused on the regulation, enforcement & infrastructure needs of a Smart city in India. Anil Shukla, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police, Traffic spoke on how technologies such as ICTcan help in better traffic monitoring and safety. While, Pankaj Som Chaturvedi, Expert (Asian Development Bank), spoke on how ICT can be leveraged for road safety. Balraj Bhanot, Management Consultant, Chairman TEDC (BIS) and Former Director ARAI, dwelled on the suitability of vehicles for smart cities and technologies for vehicle tracking and safety.

The second session on “Mass Transport can bring in lifestyle changes” was addressed by Vivek B. Gadgil, Chief Executive & Managing Director, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, Sirish Batchu, Head - Infotronics Technology and Advance Electronics, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Vivekanand, Country Director, Barco Electronic Systems (P) Ltd.

Also, there were some interesting presentations on ITS and Predictive Adaptive Urban Traffic management, integrated IT solutions and video detection solutions enabling digitization of public transport. The presentations were made by Nilanjan Chakravortty, General Manager-Traffic, CMS Computers Ltd, David Moszkowicz, Managing Director, LumiplanITS India Private Limited, Jeevit Vashishtha, Business Development Manager - ITS, FLIR Intelligent Transportation Systems and Ravi Prakash Gupta, Head Information Technology, DIMTS.

The seminar on Vehicle Telematics brought together on same platform experts such as Kalyan Deep K. Scientist/Engineer – SD, National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO, Sunil Mahajan, Senior VP, Purchase & Logistics, Lafarge India Pvt. Ltd, Sudhir Gopalakrishna, COO and Founder, Goods Mover Technologies and Rishin Kalra, Assistant Vice President,MapmyIndia.

We have been a regular participant in the TrafficInfraTech show which is going from strength to strength. We would also like to participate in smaller Pre-shows in various cities before the bigger main show.
