Asia’s largest integrated expo on Traffic, Transport, Parking and Smart Mobility unveiled by Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry, for Road Transport & Highways

The 9th edition of TrafficInfraTech Expo was flagged off by Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry, for Road Transport & Highways, who is playing a stupendous and pivotal role in remoulding the Future of Smart Mobility in India. In keeping with the need of the hour, the expos reflected the vision of the Govt of India to bring Indian infrastructure to the levels of international standards.

Ltd; Ashish Dhakan, MD & CEO, Prama India; Rajaram Subramaniam, Managing Director, Safebarrier International Pvt. Ltd; Asim Patil, MD, Vitaran; Jayaraman Nair, Chairman, Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Mangala Chandran, Editor-in-Chief, TrafficInfraTech Magazine.

Following the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari visited the stalls, taking inputs on the new technologies from individual exhibitors. Highly appreciative of the efforts the stakeholders have put in to provide the Indian Transportation with the required solutions, he said, “I would like to congratulate the organisers for organising an exhibition on road safety and infrastructure technology.” He also stated that he was really impressed with the industry for what it is doing for the country and coming up with innovative solutions for the Indian transportation system. “I am giving my full support and best wishes to all of them.”

On the new technologies that will mould the future of Indian transportation, the minister said, “Any new technology which is successful in the world, we are ready to accept.” The exhibitors were elated with the minister for taking time out and visiting the expo.

Speaking on the need for TrafficInfraTech Expos, J.P. Nair, Managing Director of Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Ltd, said that “For any country to grow, a good infrastructure and transportation system is a must. The traffic and transporatation decisionmakers seek access to latest technologies and the three expos are bringing together the much-needed solutions from across India and abroad on this single largest platform.

“What started in 2011 as a small show with more focus on safety, has slowly and steadily grown as technology-based expos including ITS, parking technology, EV, and this time on we are also talking about drones,” J.P. added.

Highlighting the solutions at the Expos, Mangala Chandra, Editor-in-Chief of TrafficInfraTech magazine, said, “This year, there is an increase exhibitors who are showcasing innovations that would be of much interest to the government. She was elated to share that a few companies from the Artificial Intelligence domain are among those present at the expo. In her opinion, Mangala felt that the VIS group has played a significant role of an important catalyst to aid the government in achieving its vision of bringing new technology to the country.

A decade ago safety and security were topics that went unaddressed. “TrafficInfraTech came into existence nine years back with the vision to save lives,” said Jayaraman Nair, Chairman of Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. He said the dream at the time was to bring intermodal transportation in India, which meant connecting cities through various transportation means. “This dream is now coming true under the leadership of our current Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Minister for Road Transport and Hightways Shri. Nitin Gadkari. We are very happy to see the growth of the expos going in the same direction with TrafficInfraTech, Smart Mobility and ParkingInfraTech coming together in realising this vision.”
