Successful day at
TrafficInfraTech and
ParkingInfraTech Expos
A steady flow of visitors from enforcement agencies, infrastructure
companies, Metro corporations, surface transport companies, state
transport corporations and other stakeholders kept the exhibitors at
TrafficInfraTech Expo and ParkingInfraTech Expo busy on the second
day of the three-day shows, being held under the umbrella of Smart
Mobility.
Shared mobility will gain more importance
Abhay Damle, Joint Secretary (Transport), Ministry of Road Transport &
Highways in his Special address, said at the seminar, "We need to
reduce our dependence on private vehicles". Citing a report by an
international expert, and stressing the rising importance of shared
mobility, he said, "Within four to five years the concept of personal car
owners will disappear. The entire eco-system of taxis is becoming more
efficient. It is providing a wholesome experience today.We have to remember that technology cannot be regulated in real-time. While taking

Development of Railways and Metros
The post lunch session had Ramana Reddy, Chief Engineer, South
Central Railway share his views on "Developing Indian Railway Stations:
Design led and user-friendly approach".
